Prior to installing the patch I was on an 18 match unbeaten run, since installing it I have failed to win in any of my 10 games, and have had hardly any shots, is this a coincidence? It can't be the tactics as they have remained as they were prior to the new patch.

Anyone else experienced this?

Don't know if related but can i hell get a tactic to work for my Man United team. 1st time iv struggled with a tactic. Back to the drawing board for me

Only my opinion based on many years experience, but with every new match engine, comes the need to rethink the tactics.
All part of the fun I guess.
I had the same thing, I was finding my team conceding a lot more goals than before.
I've had to change things around quite a bit, and normal service has now resumed....

Your tactics are going to have to evolve to deal with the new match engine. Your 8.0.1 tactics are probably a decent starting point, but I wouldn't "trust" them anymore.

i'm presuming he's saying that HIS tactics are the same before and after.
but as you say, that's no guarantee it'll work after the match engine has had a full work out and been fixed.

my tactics still work and i'm doing pretty good still but then i've never been one to have these weird and wonderful formations and strange tactics with loads of arrows all over the place. these sorts of formations/tactics will be the first to fall apart when the match engine gets done up.

mine is worked on a basic 442 with just basic stuff like telling the wingers to run with ball and have an attacking mentality, defenders defensive mentality.

Amaroq i think you're right. With every new patch you have to rethink your tactics to go with the changes.

Cheers Amaroq, and others, will have a tweak of my tactics, just never had this problem with any previous versions.
