Default something about PA

I'm sure everyone knows that most of the players in there youth teams aren't good enough to be part of the first team due to their pa being low but surely having a set pa cant be the best way of doing this because for a player to be signed and contracted by a club say in the premiership The club must believe them to have the abilty to maybe someday be good enough

Example are man utds new signings Manucho and Possebon.....either are seen has good enough in game by man utd but in real life they wouldn't have been signed if they weren't.

views on this welcomed

Not really, clubs might be wrong. That's why so many youth players get offloaded every season.

yea, i've always been annoyed at the way top clubs get players with low PA too.

Clubs like Arsenal / Man U would never give youth contracts to players like that, with no future, and already hitting there PA at the age of 16.

Thats why i think a pool of 40 or so players should be offered to you, and based on your coaches assessments, you get to pick a set number of them to "complete school training", and the rest .... go home.

That would be a great feature, it would be having a real youth academy.

That would be useful but totally exhaustive on resources. Can you imagine every club in the world with a youth academy generating 40+ players every year, only to sign ten to youth contracts and releasing the other 30? What would the 30 do? Retire to focus on getting a job in the real world, or maybe putter around some lower leagues? Maybe some would try their hand at coaching later on?

Realistic it would be but so difficult to implement fully and it would be hell on your computer.

\how many kids do you think clubs trial? lots. I've been on trial to many a club, only to get rejected and move on.
