tryed to install a Skin, and now no text is displaying, on eveything from player stats to menu option.
can any one help.
is there a way to fix this besides an install?

I believe if you delete the skin from your computer, the game shoud revert back to the original metallic skin next time you start it up. Then just try downloading the skin again.

Delete the skin. If you want to re-install it (with font!) then you have to do something to the font files. Not sure what, cos when I had the same problem, nobody seemed to know. But if you delete it then re-install it, you still wont have any text.

Read the readme that comes with the skin for more help
You should always read these when you download a new skin so that you can prevent these problems from happening!

If it's like the one that I downloaded (red and black), then it might not have a readme file with it!

Yeah, but not with the skin I wanted 
I deleted the skin that I was having problems with, installed another skin that I liked the look of (which had no problems affecting it  ) and carried on as normal.
To solve the text problem, all you actually need to do is delete the skin you've installed, and as Luke99 said, the default skin (with text!) will come back.

only instructions in the readme was where to put the skin, the skins folder,which i followed
