ok so i have downloaded an update and saw someone saying to go to the data file and replace it, so i search for c\program files\ sports interactive\football manager 2005\data like he says and find the folder, but dont know what to do next as there are loads of files inside it someone please help

depends what files are included in the update!? if all the downloaded files are already in a folder called data then just go up to c\program files\ sports interactive\football manager 2005\ and paste the whole folder in there otherwise depends what files he has sent you try looking in "db" most of the important files are there.

its the finland update i downloaded now i dont have a clue what to do with it

i cant beleive people still dont know how to do this its so easy in data theirs a folder called db delete whats in their and put all fm finland stuff in their instead job done.
