Sorry if i am thick but...
I decided to edit Nuneaton and edit the players (i changed there stats and names and everything). I made them all 16 but when I go into the game, all of there stats are below what i put them as on the editor. I use the editor that comes with the game (football manager).
Is it something to do with players current and potential abilities?

By the way i meant to put the title as Players stats instead of players s. Sorry

Yes. Their potential ability (PA) and current ability (CA) are directly linked to their stats. If they're low, then their stats are lower. If they're high (up to 200) then their stats are higher.
