it should be "Program Files\SI\Football Manager 2005\data\db\" not "Program Files\SI\Football Manager 2005\data\db\data\db", see if that works?

Okay i think that problem is that when i download the update it doesn't come in a zipped folder but rather comes as an internet object. I am able to send this interent file to a compresdsed folder and extract that to ...data\db but when i do that it still doesn't work. Does anybody know why it would download as an internet file??? Or how i can get it right??

the file is named fmfinlandupdate.rar but it still looks like an internet file and there is nothing to extract. I don't know why this is how to fix it.

Now i think my main problem is is that i don't know how to extract files from the first pic. I hope hte pics help you guys figure out my problem.

I start from the beginning. Make sure that you patch 5.05. So that there won't be any problems downloading, use f.ex. Netscape(works for me). Make sure you have winrar.
Unzip the update to your games data-folder(update already has the db-subfolder), replape all the files when asked.

If you are uncertain about whether those unzipped files end up in the right place, you can also unzip the update to some temprary folder and then copy those files which are under db-folder, to your games db-folder.

After this you should be able to start new game.
