Boy, do I feel like a dunce. I've been working my way through various extreme tactics pages and training tips by wwfan, Asmodeus and Seasoned Alcoholic. Wow. Loads of very useful information.

I am, however, stuck on a very simple question:

How do I 5-star my various coaches? I'm currently on 5-star for everything except 'Set Pieces'. I don't know what stats I need from my coaches?

Does anyone have a breakdown of what stats are required for what coaching ratings?

I'd be greatly appreciative. In the meantime, I'm going to look for a coach with 20 attacking, 20 technique and 20... uh... everything else, too. That ought to give me a decent set-pieces coach, right?!

Strength: Fitness 18+
Aerobic: Fitness 18+
Goalkeeping: Coaching Goalkeeper 18+
Tactics: Tactical 18+
Defending: Defending 19+
Ball Control: Technique 18+ & Mental 18+
Attacking: Attacking 18+ & tactical 18+
Shooting: Technique 18+ & Attacking 18+
Set Pieces: Technique = 17+ Mental + Attacking = 39+

On first read, thanks. On second read, surely this can't be correct?

In my game:

• Vincenzo Pincolini is my shooting coach. Technique 20, attacking 12. He has five stars.

• Fausto Salsano is my ball-control coach. He has technique 19, but mental 15. He has five stars.

• Ulf Kirsten is my attacking coach. He has attacking 20 and tactical 16. He has five stars.

For me to find someone to give my set-pieces five stars - according to how I've read your post - I need to find someone with a technique coaching rating of at least 17, plus a combined mental and attacking rating of at least 39. But individual stats only hit 20, so my mental and attacking stats have to be one 19 and one 20 - at the very least. This doesn't sound feasable?

Given that my coaches listed above have lower stats than those you list as necessary, I don't think you've got quite the right figures here?

It normally works if the coach has 18+ on Technique, 18+ on mental and 18+ on attacking.
