It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Aerobic vs. Anaerobic training

I've got a »problem« with traning. English is not my native language so bear with me please.

The thing that bothers me is the AEROBIC and STRENGTH training. In IRL you increase your stamina with jogging/running at a slower pace while you increase your acceleration and pace with ANAEROBIC(STRENGTH) training, mainly sprinting and weight training. That's why i think the current training is »flawed« or just plain wrong.

I think that AEROBIC training should increase: stamina, natural stamina, work rate, agility

while STRENGTH training should increase: pace, acceleration, jumping, strength and balance

In earlier versions of the game, you could target attributes using a combination of aerobic and anaerobic training elements. Here are a few screens from Gamespot of Season 03 / 04:

The training in more recent versions of the game has been scaled-down compared to the capabilities that were available in these earlier versions. Even though the training capabilities can be taken advantage of in FM2007, I'd still love to see SI go back to how training used to be.
