Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Croguy is infamous around these parts
Default 4-5-1 and 5-4-1

Why is 4-5-1 considered to be more defensive than 5-4-1? Wouldnt 5-4-1 be more defensive with the extra defender I would have thought?

because you stack the midfield and possess the ball more, thus tightening the noose if you like and cutting off the supply line to the oppsoing teams strikers...

with five at the back you limit the way you can attack (or counter) and you become more predictable to opposing managers.
