New to FM - lets know what you think of my tactics
Hi all,
Want to run my tactics by you to see what you think. Now remember, I'm new to this level of detail!
I'm Liverpool and in my first season, actually still pre-season. I've read quite a bit on picking a formation to suit your best players etc. I've also sold a few and bought a few already.
What I'm thinking of is a 4-3-1-2. At home this will be SG, masch and benyoun in the middle (I've sold alonso). I'm using babel as my AM and upfront I have 2 of Owen, Huntelaar and Torres. I've given creative freedom to SG and Torres. I'm also getting the mid to concentrate on getting the ball forward to the 3 up top. I have the width down low. I have the strikers running onto balls as all have great pace. My mentality is quite attacking.
Away from home, I'm using the same tactic but with 2 defensive mids in there - Masch and Sisoko and SG. I've left most things as are, but have them a bit less attacking and also closing down more.
What do people think of this as a starting point - for the most part my starting team would be:
Reina, Finnan, Carra, Agger, Riise
3 man mid of:
Beyoun, Masch, SG OR
Sisoko, Masch, SG
1 attacking mid - Babel
2 strikers of torres, huntel and owen

sorry other alternative I'm considering is a sort of 4-3-2-1 where the 2 fullbacks are running to almost half way, 3 in the middle, 2 AMS and 1 striker...
