Does anyone have an idea on what aspects of tactics should be emplyed in lower leagues that is different from what you use in top leagues?

1. Should the passing be more direct?
2. Slower or faster tempo?
3. Are some positions more or less useful in lower leagues (DMC, AMC et cetera)?
4. Are some player attributes more important in lower leagues?
5. Should the play be more wide or narrow?

Its no different than the top leagues in all honesty. The players you have maybe not as good as the top league's, but thats the case for the other sides in your league as well.

I was just thinking that "smarter" tactics, with more crossing and short-passing might be tougher to pull off with less skilled players, while simpler, direct play would work better. And maybe also focusing less on ball control and flair, and more on speed and work-rate. Any other opinions on the matter?

As you go down the leagues the smarter tactics still work, all that changes is the attribute values that you need for them to work.

But a lot of people think they don't work for some reason and mainly focus on fast and direct play.
