Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Corner taking - Left footers or right footers??

This may seem like an obvious and fundamental question, but I am having a debate with some guys at work and need clarification.

So when setting up your corner takers. in "Left" do you put Left footed players or right footed players (assuming that "Left" means that the corner will be taken from the left??

Thanks Chaps

Left does indeed mean the corner taken on the left.

If you assign a left footer to the left corner he will usually deliver an out-swinging corner.

If you assign a right footed player to take the left corner he will deliver an in-swinging corner.

And vica versa...

I tend to prefer out-swinging corners if the delivery instruction is set to penalty area or outside the box. My preference for delivery into the 6 yard box is in-swinging.

Happy swinging :o)
