A question or two on Re-position Training? Post #3
b) If the player is young then there is a chance he can learn a new natural position, but for this he already needs a decent rating for the position you are training him.

c. Once they have retrained to that position do you leave them continuously retraining or put them back to default?
Older players with low versatility are less likely to maintain their retrained position without keeping the training even if they continue to play in that position.
I had this with Justin Hoyte. I retrained him as a left back, his positional rating went up but he started moaning about it so I took him off the training. Despite still playing regularly as a left back his positional rating dropped back down to where it had been prior to the specific new position training.
Although this is only one player in one scenario so it might not be the 'normal' behaviour.
