I have some talented regens in my youth set up that my assistant who has 20 for judging potential says have the potential to become leading stars in the premier league.
I want this youth to maintain my Sunderland teams run as the first team is beginning to get towards 30. So do i keep them in the youth team until they are old enough to loan out or do i give them a run out in the league cup?
I take it loaning a player out is best for them to develope but most of my players play crap when out on loan. How do you go about making sure they develope into the world class stars they can become? Bearing in mind that currently they have terrible stats.
It depends on their age. If they are 16-18, let them stay in the youth team and tear the other teams apart. When they reach 19-21 you may want to loan them out to teams in the lower divisions so that they are most likely key players in the team and get first team experience. Then at 22+ give them a few cup runs and see how they perform. Once they adapt to your system well enough you may start them regularly.
