Has there been a player that you have bought who has had amazing stats, a good reputation and a proven record for their club but has just been a massive let down for you? I bought Lorik Cana from Marseille for £13.5M for my Sevilla side and I play him in his natural position of DMC but he never seems to give me any decent performances.
Not true I had Miguel Veloso for my Man Utd side, playing as a DMC, and he more often than not got 8's. Think his average rating 3 seasons running was above 7.40.
I dunno if this is just the formations I tend to play, But I've found DMC's to be much more efficient if I play them with no Forward Runs, Defensive attitude, and Closing Down Often...
Anyone else found that? Suppose it's like having a sweeper infront of your CBs instead of behind them
Wow, even though i'm a Liverpool fan I gotta say thats way too much even on the game for Torres. Should of used that to buy someone better really. But I can see the attraction at the same time
Biggest let down for me was Amauri. Bought him when I was managing Milan and he was terrible. Can;t remember the exact stats but think he scored about 7 in 40-odd games. Guess I wasn't using him properly as his stats are brill. Haven't bought him since though, even if he's going cheap I avoid him.
I know it was way too much, but like I said, I had money to burn! :p
Gudjohnsen broke his leg (out for 5 months), and I'm using Aguero as a AM, so needed an extra striker to compete with Henry and Eto'o. I have Zarate, Sharp, Stancu, Saivet, Bojan all in the B Team at the moment...
I'm closing in on Ronaldo from Man U for £82million as well...
I just hope the money keeps being available for me to spend! It's a big difference from my last save where my star signing was Paul Pringle on a free transfer for Forest Green
Juan Roman Riquelme. Although T got him for free. But he is a big name and has good reputation. But he does not poses threat to the opponent and his performance is unnacceptable.

Yeah, one of the biggest mistakes people seem to make with DM's is playing them with 'forward runs'. So of course, they're gonna be caught out of position regularly...
You shouldn't play either DM's or AMC with forward runs cause they're link players. If your DM's charging up the field when your team takes possession, and then there's a turnover in possession, your defense is exposed bigtime...
