Big problem - SI please help

When I click on FM icon on the desktop or on windows vista start - games- football manager 2008 the game doesnt load up. All that comes up is the file where it is saved in my documents. Please help im desperate to play 8.0.2. FM 2008. thanks, btw i have checked the thread 'having problems with fm 08?' at the top and my problem isnt there

You could try browsing directly to the folder the game is installed to on your machine.

It should resemble something like this:

C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008

Inside there you should find the "fm.exe". If you double-click on that you should be able to launch the game.

Thanks Neil i am about to try it how do i get to program files?

go into my computer, then C drive, should see folder there

right thanks skintsaint i have gone into program files sports interactive and then 2 folders appear fm 07 and 08. I click on that and what appears is a folder - data .DS_Store changelist and fm MCE. I dont know what is going on

Sounds like it hasn't installed properly mate - reinstall it then do this:

1. Open up the folder you installed it to (write down where the game installs it to then type that 'address' into the explorer bar. It'll open up the folder).

2. Press the Print screen button on your keyboard.

3. Open up paint and press Paste (control and V) to paste the screenshot in.

4. Save the file to your desktop.

5. Go to www.imageshack.us and upload the file.

6. Find the bottom link that it gives you, and copy it here.

This should then allow us to start figuring out the problem.
