Is there any way of removing the £1m pound a match fee for defoe so it takes effect in my current game and not have to start again for it to work?

well i have done all my tactics, transfers, staff and player contracts and ready for the start of the season . Oh well thanks for the info guys

ooh thats a shame. that sort of stuff takes ages as well so i know waht it feels like.

If you have an 8.0.1 Game then it won't be a factor as Defoe hasn't been transfered then.

If you've started a game in the last few hours with the 8.0.2 patch then yes, unfortunately it will be a problem. Refer to Miles' post at the top of the forum for the work around and please accept my apologies once again.

hmm what would happen if i bought defoe? would spurs still be getting money off portsmouth for every game he plays for me? :p
