Hii everyone,

I need massive help/troubleshoot from you people.

I have successfully installed v8.02 and was all gungho to play. When i load up the new game, it came to my horror that the players pictures, staffs, club logos etc, were all missing and not appearing in the game. It was alrite this evening before I install e latest patch, and suddenly after installing, the graphics are all gone!!! Does anyone else encounter this problem after installing 8.02??

What seems to be the problem?? I would appreciate any help..the game would be muc2 nicer wif the graphics intact...'i am using FM2008, SI skin btw..

In My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\skins, i have a config file dated 15 Feb 08

I do not recall having either files prior to installation...wat is the bug here??

It's possible that your preferences got reset to the default. You might want to go to Preferences>Display and Sound and ensure 'Reload skin cache on confirm' is ticked.

Im not sure what they mean mk2008 but check a picture on a player that fm have got. For example david beckham. Everyone in the EPL doesnt have a picture as SI dont have the rights for that.

Yesh..i am aware of that Hazzy..

but the pictures I am referrin to are those which i have downloaded for the games, such as those from epl, ligue 1 etc..staffss

they appear fine in 8.01..but why have they disappear in 8.02..

and i have tried ticking the skin cache..it doesnt werk!!

pls2 hellp..someone from SI..does anyone else hav dis issue??

I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but if you have everything needed to reinstall then I would delete that config file from created today (15 Feb ) and see what happens. If your game stops working after doing that you can just reinstall and you'll be back to the same starting point.

Just to reiterate I'm not an expert but this is what I would do if I was in your situation. I hold no legal responsibility for any problems that may arise if you choose to follow my advice

Try this.

In the game goto: Preferences
Goto: Display & Sound

Deselect (take the tick out) of "Use Skin Cashe"
Tick: Always reload skin on confirm.

Click Confirm.

Try looking again.

Hii Steve..

I have done that umpteen times..reloading skin on confirm..nothing appears...except for the default pics...i mean am i the only one facing this problem??

any other way to go about this?have i overwritten a file or watsoever???

Where did you put your files? Did you re-install before patching?

i had placed my pics/graphics under My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\skins\graphics\pictures.

As with previous years with patch, I didnt reinstall, i just applied the patch and proceed to the game...

u r nt telling me..i should reinstall??
