Default how to play CM3 on windows XP

is it possible to play all the old championship manager games on windows XP as i keep getting an error which tells me to free up more system memory

Please help me as i want to go retro for a while

Going retro is one thing, but CM3??

Doubt you're going to be able to turn the clock back that far.

dangerousdave74 - the game wasn't written for XP, nor is XP supported, so no one at SI would know how to get it working for that platform.

This thread apparently includes a link to a patch to fix this problem (or at least - fix 'a' problem.)

A scout around the legacy CM forum may be of some use.

Downloading and running it with DOSBox might do the trick.

I had a nostalgic go of the very first CM recently using DOSBox without any problems at all.

how can i get dosbox and what commands do i need to put in to make it work.
