re issue

will there a be a patch released in the next day or two that will include the defoe problem being fixed , if so ill just wait to download the patch

No decision has been made yet, and it won't be discussed until tomorrow at the earliest (I'm out of the office tomorrow doing a TV thing, but will try and arrange a call before that happens, but people have been working very long hours this week to get the patch and other stuff done, so some may have lie-ins).

It'll be a lot quicker to download the patch, and edit it yourself, as Peter-Evo has suggested.

but if i have to change it myself will i have to do this everytime i begin a new game ? or will i be able to save it in some way ?

Edit it and save it as 8.0.2. defoe and use that database when loading game

We are in no hurry. Take your time. 1,2,3 weeks it doesn´t matter so long you can fix these problems and other ones.
