well, i didn't find anything! dataeditor.exe didn't show up in the Task manager(any ideas...I didn't have this problem before, i installed 8.01 patch easily in November, but then my computer got broken(HDD problem). But now it is fixed and i'm not able to install 8.01 and 8.02( i'm not sure it has some relationships, but...

This is very strange as it seems that when you try to install the patch it is making the operating system think dataeditor.exe is running even though it isn't.

Do you use the dataeditor? If not you could try deleting it from your computer and then installing the patch as it won't be attempting to write over an existing process.

Also I'll be on here for the next hour or so, so if you want to keep plugging away to try and find a solution keep posting.
