Considering that I'm just promoted to the blue square premier and they've been past the group stages of the Champions League, does this seem unusual? I wonder if it will be a sellout.
I find that Euro teams are much more likely (as any club) to accept a friendly. I've been Man Utd and had League one and two teams reject me, I need to give 400 or 500k to another Premiership team to play.
Some of my pre-season friendlies over the years have included a tour of china, then a tour of Iraq, then a tour of japan, as well as AC Milan 2, Barcelona every pre-season, Antwerp every year and Real Madrid 4 times, Roma, Valenica, Atheltic, Atletico Madrid.
English teams include.. Hull, FC United, Reading and Arsenal, once each.
Each friendly attracts about 38k regardless of who is playing.
Well, it has 4 stands, a pitch, 2 goals and a crowd. What do you want to call it then? :p
Ok, it's small, but still more of a stadium compared to Haarlem, Telstar and Omniworld.
