So I have just finished a season and am in 2017 when I get the following news item:

It confuses me a little so I go and check my confidence and see this:

Now im getting worried considering this is how I finished last year:

The board are looking at replacing me at the end of my contract now, I have played 10 seasons now and am going to get sacked for no reason what so ever. What a waste of a game.

I agree it sounds odd. Maybe it's their way of saying 'you had your time and we thank you for your efforts but we do not see that you have the potential to take the club all the way thus we are considering a replacement if you don't prove us wrong within the next year?'

Or their ambitions are to high and aren't in touch with reality - just like reel life boards...

Report it as a bug, you will have to upload your save game though i would imagine, just have a look at the sticky's on the bugs page and you should see what to do

the longer you are at the club the higher the expectations & to be honest you underachived in all the cup tournaments.
It might also be a problem with your chairman who is either problomatic or has issues with you (you might not be his favorite person due to a prior clash).

All in all, however, I gotta say this is very harsh.

As I see it they aren't happy with the long term view (they are delighted with last year's final position). maybe they beleive (mistakenly) you don't have what it takes to manage a "top flight" team - in game terms your reputation rose lower then the club's reputation as percieved by the board.

I would like to point out that I have conceded that it is very harsh.

my final suggestion : takeover as Sheff Wed & win the premiership just to spite them...
