Default Pitch Conditions (especially premiership games)

Something that irks me slighty is that the pitch condition for Premiership Matches normally shows worn out areas, and the pitch to be on the poor side (unless you are playing at wembley where it is always immaculate).
I can understand games in winter time, but in August how many worn out pitches do you see?

Lower Leagues maybe, but not in the top divisions anymore. They are immaculate and very well maintained, and the clubs spend a fortune to keep it that way.

Ok, so yes Chelsea and Man Utd had problems in the past but that has now been rectified.

Anyone else notice this? Or am i just barking?

No you make a pretty good point, alot of water logged pitches, but with a quick tweak of the tactics all is well..

I've found that Stamford Bridge is constantly water logged if it has been raining/is raining. Annoying really, slows the game down.

Agree- its really frustrating personally as Ive been complaining about the lack of realism in this area for a couple of releases now.

So glad that rather than fix the issue its actually been made worse.

I used to live round the corner from SB and it used to rain all the time.

Does anyone know who many different types of graphics there are for pitches?
Rain Covered
Snow Covered
Dry and Patchy
Immaculate (like Wembley)

Do Synthetic pitches look any different?

Features: -
-Like having the grass cut in different ways would add more realism.

There was another thread on this a week or two ago which i cant find now.

Pitch wear is something that would be a nice addition to FM2009. At the moment you can have rain on the opening day of the season and your pitch be a mud bath which would never be the case yet have dry clear weather in January and have a perfect surface. It just doesnt look right.

It would be a nice touch to start the season with a perfect surface and it wear slowly throughout the season dependant on weather conditions and the budget you set for the groundsman (could be an extra option along with pitch size).

Yeah I posted a thread similar to this. I'm managing in lower league and was wondering if the poor pitch conditions appeared just as often in the top flight as they do further down the divisions.
