I would prefer to hand out contracts on my own, but every once in awhile i see new players in my youth team on 10p ound contracts i didn't sign. what is the big idea?

Check your manager options, you may have your assman handling contracts for the youth team.

yeah its checked automatically so you have to uncheck it if you dont want it to. which is one of the first things i always do.

I didnt have my ass man assigned to contracts but he gave loads out.
So I sacked him, bought in a new one and it hasnt happened since, so I am happier.

| LOL its 100% down to having the box ticked. Once you unticked it I expect there were some previous offers already made that took a few days to get signed

I've had the box unticked since September, i've had about 8 youth players get pre-contracts since then, including one today (oddly enough, it's also 7 November in my current game!)

Also seeing lots of youth auto offered contracts, even though I unticked the box the previous season.
