Fc Bayern II Promotion to 2.Bundesliga? Bug or not?
Hi,
I selected FC Bayern for the game, in the end of season 07/08,Bayern B team wins in Regionliga Sued, and it promote to 2.Bundesliga in the following season. That's impossible, isn't it?
the B teams are only allowed to be in the new 3.Liga. And in the first season, only a maximum of four B teams from the two divisions of regionliga will be allowed in 3rd Bundesliga.

But restructuring of the German league has nothing to do with that rule. Now Regionalliga is the end for Bayern II, next year it will be 3. Bundesliga.
Why the hell should they make a change to that rule?
Okay, there are other non-believable bugs, so it's maybe worth to post it in the bugs forum.

But the fact that the game has to make a whole new league and sort that out, perhaps it's just something that didn't come up in testing, and thus it wasn't remember to put a new upper limit on Bayern II.

have you actually started the next season yet? maybe its showing them as promoted, and you get the media items associated with that, but when the re-calculating of everything happens at the end of the season, the game will realise the team cant be promoted, and they will stay in the previous division...

If you read in the bugs forum, this issue isn't a bug. It's coded in. Something along the lines of promotion to Bundesliga 2 being allowed is an error, but unlimited B teams getting promoted to Bundesliga 3 is designed to happen, as there wasn't confirmation of the rule about 4 teams when Germany was coded.
Please don't quote me on that - just what I recall from reading the bugs forum, and for the definitive answer I suggest you look there, as it's been written by a member of the SI team.
