During the years I've been a member here I've seen the place go from great to shitty.

People here seem to post here with the sole purpose of ****ing someone off or putting someone down.

What the heck is going on?

Is it really that hard to show some respect to other people when you post online these days?

Is it so hard to be mature and respectful?

It really is a tragic thing.

This is a general problem througout the internet.

And in what way were I selfish with that thread?

There were already numerous patch threads (all in view), all asking the same thing. For some reason, you ignored these and posted your own.

Exactly.

It is as if people just HAVE to throw around verbal slaps and kicks for no reason.

I'm finding myself staying away from the forums I used to frequent because of this.

It is so depressing reading the same garbage posts over and over again. If people disagree with someone they should do so in a constructive way instead of just the usual 'you ******' 'you suck' replies.

Maybe its a reflection of society at large

I have definately noticed a decline over the 3/4 years i have been using these forums. I have narrowed this down to two main areas:

1. A complete lack of patientce

2. A lack of respect for views contrasting to your own. (i.e. anyone who labels the game 'fun' etc is instantly a fanboy and vice-versa)

I by no means wish to tar every user with the same brush, there are a great deal of intelligent and respectful people on these forums, but there is also a minority that we could do without, no doubt aided by the relative annonimity offered by the internet
