Does anyone have any idea if the number of national teams available for you to manage changes depending on the number of leagues you are running?

I wanted to start a game in which I only managed national teams but moved from country to country over time. I currently run 9 leagues and have a fair few options but if I change it to run only 1 league (so as to increase game speed) will I still have as many options?

From what i can tell you can only manage the country of the league you are running. I'm only running the english league, and couldn't apply for the senegal job that just came up.

I could be wrong though!

Incorrect! Not sure exactly how it works, but most top nations are available to manage.
