I want to start making club badges and competition logos but dont know how too. I have tried seaching for an idiots guide to making them but with no luck.

I have Paintshop Pro and Fireworks can I make them with these or do I need Photoshop.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a fool proof idiot guide for making club badges and logos.

What Type of logos?

Logos that come with the game? - just need to make them the same size as the ones with the game (50x50pixels I think?). Then use whatever tools to delete the background, then save as a png file (use save for web option if there is one), tick transparency option when saving. (Best to work with a larger better quality image, remove the background then resize the image down.)

You can make standard logos most imaging programs, except for MS Paint.


Rotated Logos? - I did a couple of guides on sortitout's forums (I think they are down at the moment, so I'll see if I have a copy around if you need it).

Fade Logos, Hatched logos, 3D logos, Logos in a box, logos and a shirt, shirt logos etc... there be many types.

You should be able to make logos with PSP and Fireworks, but you may need to translate the guides from photoshop (I expect they have tools in different places and called them something else).
