is a better way of editing things as the pre game editor is too complicated and silly.

I've noticed a small problem with one of the panels if you extract it and include it in a skin.

I'm on a Mac, so not sure if this happens on a Windows machine as well.

The player scout reports.xml, if you include this panel in your skin, and click on Coach Reports for a player the game will suddenly crash.

I thought too rename the panel too player coach reports.xml too see if I could make changes, it solves the crashing problem, but any edits are not picked up by the game.

Is there supposed to be a player coach report.xml file?

Any help appreciated.

no it is player scout reports.xml they are the same screen.

What did you change? I presume if you just copied it exactly into your skin it won't crash. Your change must be invalidating a widget link used in the code and causing it crash, there should always be a check to make sure its valid before they are used but sometimes they are accidently missed.

I have not changed anything, thats the thing.

What I did was just include all the panels in a generic skin too make searching easier in my text editor.

I just used a process of elimination and narrowed it down too the player scout reports.xml file

If I remove the file, no problems.

I've just tried it on a windows machine and get the same result.

Game is patched, and WWSM08 if that helps.

I'd post it in the bugs forum then the testers can hopefully re-create it and then a coder can look into it.
