European Super League, retaining nationalities & "proper" euro cups switched off etc.
Okay, I'm currently creating a european super league, containing teams from all over europe, 312 teams to be exact will fill up these leagues.
As you can see from these screenshots, I have the basis for the super league in place,
all teams retain their nationality, e.g. Rangers are scottish, ajax are dutch etc. This makes prices & their behaviour realistic.
I am currently running the super league (the first league only, as thats all thats completed... almost) on holiday just to make sure everything works as expected.
Oh and none of teams will ever be entered for any european cups, instead the old english fa, league cup etc. have been converted into european cups.
The above shots prove that each club is its own nationality & this therefore keeps it's values and behaviours as normal, not as english clubs would behave (e.g., method used in ileague made clubs act english like)
it also means english clubs will need work permits, whereas non english clubs wont, italy will still have its non-eu rule etc.
this screen shows that upon loading the english league, it becomes part of the euro leagues
Last but not least, of course, there are some errors to overcome, non english clubs' fixtures are currently not appearing in their fixture list, they play their fixtures so their might be a way around this. I will have to look into it:-
And for the clubs that will be entered overall are based on each nations co-efficients e.g. England, italy and spain will have 11 clubs withen the leagues, while albania for example will have 5.
Each teams place in their respective leagues will determine which league they go into (liverpool and CSKA moscow are exceptions because of their european achivements.)
Any comments or suggestions, *goes back to see how the its turning out on its holiday*

okay, sorted out the fixture problem, but by doing so, it will no longer be a nation named "the euro league" (not a nation that actually plays, just a name generated to replace the england part of the subscreen).
This means however that clubs from this league will qualify for the old european cups, these have been reduced in reputation & it will give lower clubs to take on a few of the top sides.
Just running it on holiday for a few years just to make sure that this works properly (with the teams being from different countries and all, europe might keep them on the following year... i doubt it).
Then I will decide what teams go in which league, do that, then test, then release
release it as the first "proper" euro super league, due to the fact that teams behave like their own nationality instead of english,
cheers

When I tried to have the clubs retaining there old nations the youth and reserve teams didn't play any matches and there wasn't any reserve/u19 teams at all for most clubs, there was only B/C teams for spanish clubs etc...
Have you got it to work ?

I'm still getting some errors, it looks like the cups have to be english, therefore all teams will be their riteful nationality, but can qualify for europe via the league,
I've gotta think what I can make this "proper" euro competitions into.
I was thinking about making a world super league, therefore all cl teams are in there meaning that they all play in europe as well.
