Sounds like a reasonably good thought!
I want to create my own team, me and my mates local team, and then stick them in D1 or something. How easy is it to create my own team?
And you have FM 04-05 I take it? You never said. If you have CM4 as the latest version (as you haven't actually specified any later versions (CM 03-04 & FM 04-05)) then I'm not sure any more whether there was a data editor with it. No... I am. There was. It was actually quite stable.
Please tell me what version you are using... Forget about the programming. You don't need programming experience.

What sort of editor would I use?
|
The pregame editor that generally comes with the game.

Is there one I can use to practice on the demo?
|
Um... No. The demo uses a partial database and is not compatible with the editor. You will need to purchase the full game to experience the delights of the game that most of us have been playing for nearly a year!

If made on the demo would I be able to use them in the full game?
|
I *think* the answer to this is yes. I haven't tried it since, for the sake of 6 months of the game (which is all that's playable in the demo IIRC), I'd rather just start afresh.

If made, would I be able to send the file to my friends somehow to use on their game?
|
Yes. You are free to share your databases with your mates. The database currently weighs in (zipped) at 35mb roughly so you'll want somewhere to upload it to (Google for free file uploaders, I use my own site when hosting) and your mates will probably want a decent speed broadband, otherwise, they'll be twiddling their thumbs.
Hope all this helps.
