The theory does work. As the points are hardcoded into a certain ID, if you create a new club which is exactly the same, it will have a different ID, and so the penalty points will not be implemented. In FM 2005 when Rio Ferdiand had his ban, if you just added a new Rio Ferdinand, the ban wouldn't be there.

The only problem with this method is that, as the ID has been changed, the competitions that the team has won will not longer be with them. You would have to go into each individual competition and change the history for the team to have their trophies back.

this will obviously work because its just a new team isn't it... the only '2' yes 2 differences is the badge wont appear the ID. unless your able to shift badges around from the files then this new milan team will never be the real 1

argh!!!!!! it's just so much extra work for something that SI should have enabled in the editor so sneaky when you consider that 99% of people who play FM2007 will buy FM2008 anyway. GRRRRrrrr

Changing the league ID will probably cause the game to crash as it will have a knock-on effect on anything connected with the league. It will also mess up the history of the league.

If you delete a club that has hard-coded point-deductions and replace that club with an entirely new-made team, what happens to the game-engine then?

I mean, when you delete the database entry, the hard-coded part of the team still exists. Doesn't it?

So will the game look for database entries that fit the hard-coded point-deductions, are does the game-engine understand that when there is no team left with a suiting ID, that it doesn't need that piece of game-code anymore?
