It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default My 442

Its been uploaded on fmdownloads and its under FM2007--Tactics--442--My 442 Portsmouth Sep 2008

Well, I used this tactic throughout my whole 2nd season with Portsmouth and managed to win the CL and EPL
In the CL final I won 4-0 vs Chelsea so this tactic was very good for me, especially considering the squad I had available to me

It lines up like this
GK
LB CB CB RB
MC MC
AML AMR
FC FC

Okay, the team instructions involve:
Mentality: Attacking
Passing: Slightly leaning towards direct mixed
Tempo: Quick
Time wasting: Low
Defensive line: Normal, but leaning towards deep

The two MC's can be tweaked to your liking, I have one more defensively minded one (a DM) and a more creative MC with more creative freedom

The AMR and AML are very important and score quite a lot of goals

The two forwards work under a similar formula to the MCs, one has more creative freedom and is more attacking in mentality, he is a real creator and will score plenty too, the other FC has less creative freedom so he stays in more traditional positions and will score plenty of goals, plenty

With the mcs and forwards especially make sure you put your more creative player in the certain slots which have more creative freedom

It will take a few games for your team to grow accustomed to this new system, but once they do, it is an amazing tactic!! It is very capable of getting results against the big teams too as shown by my game v Chelsea in the CL final

Apart from the download on fmdownloads there is a zshare link too:

Any further questions just ask me and I'm looking forward to your feedback!!
Thanks and good luck

Well so far it's the best tactic on here by far!!! ive only played about 15 games and im 2end with liverpool. Chelsea are unstopable by the way! Ive tried all the big tactics here and to be honest i found them all crap but so far this is working so i suggest anyone who is struggling give this a go.

i will certainly give it a go - really struggling to find a consistent tactic - does this work awat from home also as a lot more emphasis is put on away fixtures being more difficult??
