Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Free Role and High Creative Freedom

What is the difference between putting a play on high creative freedom and putting a player playing as a free role? Isnt it kind of the same thing? Thanks for any clarification.

my take on it wud be that a freerole means he plays wherever he wants, and creative freedom means he doesnt have to play to your tactics, ie not play short passing etc

Freerole = player will move around all over the pitch, and not just stand still in one position.

Creative Freedom = player will have the freedom to do what he thinks is best in a situation.

I guess that depends on whether creative freedom affects a player's position on the pitch really.

creative freedom does not effect players position on the pitch. Trust me, I played 5 season watching all match on full time with ajax
Mentality, arrows and freerole will change the players original position.

Ok, so basically free role is more of a positional thing where he still plays to your tactics and instructions but can do it anywhere on the pitch….and high creative freedom a player will not move out of position but will not totally adhere to your teams instructions and tactics and will do some stuff on his own but always within his position?
