1. Home/Away - I check this too but against weaker teams I'll often use my most attacking home tactic. I don't know how accurate this is but sometimes attacking away from home seems to completely surprise the opposing side.
2. Player condition - is this via the Con column and also Player > Overview? I ask because Obafemi Martins currently has a Con of 98% but shows "Rst" in another column which shows as "Tired and in need of a rest" when you go to Player > Overview.
3. Players Morale - Should I play only Very Good/Superb players? What if the morale is low due to lack of first team football?
4. Check opposing teams results - how useful is this? I beat Man Utd 1-0 after they went on a 6 game winning run but got hammered 1-3 by Reading who had 2 losses and a draw. I dunno how to judge form for opposing teams
5. Check opposing formation - should I counter a 4-4-2 with a 4-4-2 Is they play a diamond 4-4-2 should I look to put my midfielders "in the hole"? I guess these are things I'll only find answers to by trying them out
6. Right subs - should I look to cover the base positions such as gk, d, m, and st and then add one versatile player?
