how do you know in which games to use or not use counter attack? is the way an opponent set up a way of telling whether you should or not?

the reason i post this is because i downloaded a tactic from another website and it is looking very good so far but it is difficult when to know not to play counter attack because some matches i start we struggle so i take counter attack off and we murder the other team

Personally i never use counter attack in this version and I don't know why , but if i were to use it it would most likely be in away games as the opposition attacks more and against better teams at home.

I usually look at the possession chart after ~15-20 minutes, if we're unable to dominate the midfield, then I use counter-attack.

Not sure if it works but common sense would suggest that using the counter attack against a slower team/defence would probably work. Test it out!

i sugested playing with counter attack when you have deep d-line (1-6) Also works well with quick tempo- 14
