This driving me mad, no matter what I set them to they refuse to hold a line with my DCs, even with the precise same settings.

I wouldnt mind if they were joining attacks but they just seem to wander forward, and end up leaving a gaping gap behind them.

Anyone?

Set forward runs to rarely
Set dribbling to rarely
Set a low mentality
Set a low creative freedom (I think this is very important for him to follow your directions)

If that doesn't work then your guy is just a showboat

I struggle with this i just set them to the same instructions as my CB's but i think it is by default that they make forward runs what SPD said is as good as your going to get

Barrows work well and I use them for ultra-defensive formations.

That plus no foward runs, low closing down, creative freedom and mentality.
