Real Madrid have offered £20M for him and I'm not sure wether to accept it and try and get another left back. I'm in 2014 and we're doing really well but £20M is a lot of money and well, it'd help me out a lot. The thing is Marcelo is a beast of a player and can play on the wing too, as well as an AMF is needs be.

If there are better left backs at this time, please tell me because I'll sign them and then sell him.

Send your scotus to find regens, they are different in every game.
Check L. Baines.
Personally, I play Marcelo only at left winger, because of his, for me, bad defensive attributes.

no chance is he the best left back, he massively lacks defensive qualities to play at the back, plays much better as a winger

Haha, quite unanimous then? My current left winger is Anderson which sort of explains the problem I'm having. I've always had trouble finding good Left backs on these games for some reason. Anyway, I've always played him as the left back and if a team is coming along with a £20M bid, then surely he's doing well where I've placed him?

Try Armand Traore, Gael Clichy, Manuel Pasqual, Gareth Bale or Leighton Baines, or some regen at your stage.

He's not a bad LB, but he's much better on the wing. If you like him, keep him, if not, 20mil buys a lot of good regens.

Marcelo is good on my game, but Constant Domouraud is the best. Annoyingly though i cant get him to sign a new contract as he cant get a work permit. He is ivorian, and i'm now ivory coast manager. If he plays in every world cup game for me will he have more chance of a work permit ?

I always play Marcelo as left back in one of my Man Utd teams (I have 2 seperate teams, 1 for league and another for cups).

Though he is not the best defender in the world, he is great going forward from that position and he has the freedom to do so. He is one the better performing fullbacks in my team, as long as you got decent center backs to cover if need be. Rarely makes mistakes etc. Out performs most other left backs in game on average rating.
