I've had Bojan for 5 and a half seasons so he's now 25. In that time he's managed 107 goals in 255 appearences, not a bad return you're probably thinking, hardly the return of a prolific striker though. The problem is 57 of those came in cup and European competition against mainly inferior opposition. He's managed only 50 league goals in 190 appearances and averaged a naff 6.7. Over this time Nicklas Bentner has managed 104 and Yakubu 117 in about the same number of appearences so its not my midfield failing to create chances for him as it includes Downing, Adu and Lennon and some class regens.

I can no longer justify paying him 55 grand a week so he's on the market. Had anyone else discovered that Bojan just doesn't love up to the hype on this board? Or is it that he just can't play in the English game as he seems to be ok when he plays for Spain.

me ive had him for liverpool since season 2 and he's not been much kop (im in season 5).

The only reason im keeping him is because a) nobody wants hime and b) he is a homegrown player

I would have to say not, I wasted £12.75m on him plus god knows how much in wages! Should have made it a bit clearer in my 1st post that Yakubus and Bendtners equivalent goals where from the league not overall otherwise it looks like they've all scored about the same.

15mil would be like buying him for 10m selling him for 5m and then buying him again for 10m its just pointless basically

i signed him on loan for everton at 16 and outscored my ther strikers although that does include crapbag beattie i couldnt afford him at end of season tho

I think he's mint tbh. Got 20 league goals in 53 seasons. But he played on the right wing or as a AM. :cool:

As an aside i released him on a mutual termination as only Sunderland would bid for him and he couldn't agree terms. He's now been out of contract for half a season and still no one wants him! Guess I got the version with the broken Bojan!

Perhaps you were a formation that he didn't like or something. Or gave him instructions he doesn't like.
