ive put a 10 million pound offer in for Riquelme which has been accepted
and ive had a bid of 10 mil for van der varrt accepted 2
which 1 should i get or is there any 1 else who i can buy to play behind my front 2

Matias Fernandez for 10M dude. He's better than both of them put together. Not to mention younger.

Try for Nasri then. He's usually available for around 15-16M at the start of the game. But his value shoots up soon so you have to try right at the start. He's better than those two as well imo. See how much Diego will cost you as well. Might be more than 16M though.

If you cant get either, I'd rather get VDV as he's younger than Riquelme. Bad side is that VDV is injury prone. But yeah, get VDV if you cant get the above two and I'd recommend paying out a little more cash for Lulinha or Kroos for the future. Both become great.
