Palombo can play CM too mate. But perhaps not that great there.
Then go for Andrea Pirlo, Xabi Alonso, Denilson or Lucas. All great in both positions.

palombo is awesome on the game and isnt that expensive for someone of his quality. Also look at makoun whos good there

I found Papa Bouba Diop a very useful addition when i was Spurs. He will score a lot of goals for you aswell

well to my suprise, i had a look at mascerano and he was unhappy and wanted to leave ( it's only august in my game, first season) so i put a bid of 14M in and now he's mine.
cheers for all the sugestions though, ill bear them in mind for the future.

I know its obvious but...
Jean Il Makoun from Lille is golden...
Lucas from Liverpool has massive potential.
But...the cheapest and best quality DM in 1st season is the other Diarra, Lassana Diarra from Arsenal...
Cheap as chips for a player with his ability...I think maybe 4.5-5.5 mil?? Too easy...

Seriously? Maybe in later seasons, but Lassana doesn't even get close to the top class DMs like Makoun, Veloso or Xavi Alonso.
Personal vote here goes to Makoun. Had him a few times and has become the anchorman of my current West Ham game, man to watch every time and he even sneaks away with a few MOMs due to some of his beautiful passes. I think he actually has more assists than my main AMC.

The three best in my experience are Mascherano, Micheal Essien and Vic Kompany who you can retrain in very little time but has ALL the attributes to make it as a DM and is great.
