An option when negotiating my managers contract to have a clause allowing me to apply for jobs in a higher league or specific teams without incurring the wrath of the board or fans.

I'd like the lowest leagues playable in England to be a tier lower than we have now, with simulated prom/rel up to 8 tiers below. That would give us Ryman Premier, BGB Southern league, and the Unibond to play with.
Could you Imagine the CPU requirements for this Scale, as you would need to impliment similer for the other top footballing nations aswell due to the fact that FM isnt solely on sale in the UK and other nationalitys would also be wanting similer attention.
to put it bluntly, if you thought CM4 was Slow, it would be lightning fast compaired to that if it was done that deep.
Now if it was say 2 leagues below playable, that is still an improvment without killing the system Spec that would be required, in my opinion. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Perhaps a media comment as to why you have left as well, e.g. I feel I have taken the club as far as I can, etc.
The next tier in Spain (Tercera División) as playable league  18 Divisions, 20 teams in each division (360 manageable clubs added :o ) competing for 18 promotionslots.
The French CFA should be playable too.
But seriously, the feeder/parent thing has to be tweaked so it fits the real life FIFA/UEFA/National FA's rules.
I second the proprosals here, and would like to add that the 'Greys Athletic' issue be seriously looked at and worked on.
Psychonaut... there are other countries that should get an extra tier over England, who easily have the most with six. A seventh would be grand, but other countries should benefit also.
Promotion and relegation should be simulated in some way though. All we get now is the same 66 teams who can come into a playable league. Where were Histon and Farsley Celtic five years ago? Below the current 66 is the answer, both are now in the Conference.

Here to!
When I raised this in the bugs around October / November, SI responded to say that the game database was to be re-worked for FM2009 which should resolve this issue of teams full of greys below the lowest playable league.
Also, the idea in post 1 of open trial days in pre-season would be a great addition, also more interaction from agents offering you out of contract or soon to be out of contract players would reflect real life.
One thing that i would like to see is the offering of non-contracts to players. Alot of oxford players at the start of the FM08 season were on non contract basis but you could never offer them to players.
I would also like the option with parent cluds to chose the club if you can. For example: Fisher athletic can chose from whatever london team they can to be their parent club.
And for BSN/S youth teams for them to have a cup so they can develope their skills too.

Parent / feeder arrangements are banned by the Home Nations FAs.

Do any competitions exist for BSN/BSS youth teams IRL?
