i'm a loyal blackburn fan and only ever play with my team and in the real world bburn arnt a poor club there is always money there for hughes to play with , but in the world of football manager there is never any money to start with and never really enough to challenge for the title later in the game
apart from selling my best players is there a way to get the money my club should start with

in answer to your question you can use the data editor that came with the game and cheat and give yourself more money. the editor can be found in the my computer > program files > sports interactive folder

i know people do this but from start to finish i would still start in the middle but i'll give it another go unless you can help further

is it not a fair reflection? blackburn arent a good side and they dont really have much money to spend. im sure they would have more than 5 mil in real life but i bet its still right relative to the other teams.

that i cant Believe how can you say they are not a good side fifth in the league one of the best managers in the game 3 seasons in uefa cup that the likes of spurs want and as for a fair reflection on other teams liverpool spent how much and still below bburn we r up there with the best of them spent a 3rd of what they have and still if there was a player out there what sparky wanted the boerd would back him do you really Believe they are not a good side
what do you have your manager experience level set to?? if thats on automatic or a low setting, then they arent going to give you a huge budget like they would if you were a previous international footballer...
srwlml, the researchers were instructed to take into account the money that their club already spent over the summer, so if Blackburn bought a few players and didn't sell, then that's why you've not got much to play with right off the bat.
If you've got a problem with the data, use the editor to correct it. Its your game, play it how you like.
If you think you've found a serious financial-model flaw, you're going to need more data to back it up: you might want to give us, say, your bank balance and transfer budget for each of the first ten seasons of a career, plus notes on finishing position and European success or lack thereof the previous years.
My expectation for Blackburn - keep in mind, I'm American and not a supporter - would be "mid-table money"; I wouldn't expect them to be able to finance a title run without several years of Champions League success, and the financial windfalls that come with European play...
.. so your description of the in-game behavior sounds spot-on to me, and sounds like all the more reason to be proud of yourself if you can turn Blackburn into a legitimate title contender through your own management skills.
