Hi,

I was playing the demo game for 6 months and was doing quite well. I have just purchased the full version now and wanted to know whether I can transfer the demo game I had going onto the full version? Is this possible??

Yes it is, thought I haven't done it myself, and I heard it can be a little buggy.

Usually saves games somewhere like...

CDocuments and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\games

On my PC anyway. Do a search on PC for "*.fm" (or whatever you saved you game as) and it'll find your saved game. Move it to the above folder and voila!

If you continue your demo game with the full version you will experience some problems, although apparently only in the remaining 6 months of the first season.

These problems seem to be the same as the ones you encounter in pirated versions of the game - eg, European minnows qualifying for Euro 2008 even when the bigger teams have topped the groups.

You also won't get any of the benefits of starting a new game with the patch - fixed confidence problems etc.
