he is easily retrainable, and can perform fine further up the pitch.
similarly i retrain most wingers to play DL or DR, as long as their marking,tackling and positioning arent too bad, the will make at the very least excellent cover.
players like ratinho with well balanced attributes will be decent in several positions (including centrally), however aware that they will never be quite as good as someone more specialised. eg imagine two players with PA/CA 180 and similar physical stats, the first (A) is DR/MR/AMR and the second (B) is a only an AMR. Player A should have 10+ in key defensive attributes eg marking, tackling, positioning etc . Player B doesnt need to be so good in these attributes ~7 would be fine. This means that player B has more 'free' attribute points and will thus be more lkely to have higher creativity dribbling, crossing and passing.
N.B based on this principle players rated by spanish researchers often seemed to have very low player fitness - freeing up attribute points to make their players better at technical skills.
