If i was to put in either Gateshead or Crook(Preferably) into the Blue Square Conference is it possible via the editor, i gather that i would have to remove a team from the leauge however would i have players in these teams?

If you were just doing a simple team swap, then no the players would remain as they are attributed to the club.

However if you were to edit a team and chane the name then you would keep the players.

Dafuge's challenge might be good for you. I think on the challenge website there's a gateshead saved game. It'll be a season in and Gateshead will have just been promoted. No editing needed for that

You could always go on holiday yourself for a season and see if Gateshead come up. They're fairly high rep so they're likely to turn up. Crook though are very unlikely to come up. I'm in 2020 and I've not seen them promoted. They definately look like an editor job.

Unless the editor has changed vastly since 05/06 then you will need to replace one of the teams in conference N or S with Crook. I'm not sure if there is a straight replace option or whether you have to remove one team and then add Crook seperately. Try the editors hideaway
