As a national team coach, does watching club matches have any effect on your status or reputation?

Nope. And considering the, ahem, limited nature of a circle viewed from top down, probably pointless too.

There's potential in this feature, but SI need to bring back the fog of war when you're national manager. Then attending games would be useful for revealing the player's attributes (and they could fade away again in time, if you don't see him play for a while).

I don't know if there is any effect but I like to think the 'So and So has been spotted in the stands today...' could spur on potential national players. Especially fringe players or one's fighting for a place in the team.

I tend not to watch the matches though. Partly because I play against a lot of my national players at club level and partly because it's less time consuming to send one of my assistants to watch them.

Have to say, although I'm only a little way into my first international foray, I am really enjoying it. Some of the media tweaks are great.

Your assistant usually does it automatically aslong as you don't click "confirm" to attend any games.
