i had a takeover at milan every early in my 07 game, but i don't think Berlusconi ever "loved the club". if he did, he quickly declined to "willing to listen to offers". the takeover itself took ages and i missed a transfer window as a result (they wouldn't allow any funds to be used).

I eventually had a takeover (well, new chairman promoted from the board) in ~2020 at Derby County in FM07. Until about 6 months before that the previous chairman had thought he'd never leave the club he loves and all that stuff.

My experiance with FM 2007, was a board take over IIRC I was managing Swansea.

It was quite a nail biting ride TBH, where I had no money available for transfers also talk of replacing me.

After months, even though it felt more like years of hell. The new board kept me on. Whooo Hooo! To this day one of best mind games, I've had with the series yet.

New board take over and I survived.
