Who's the worst player you've seen get an international callup?
half-decent nations only, obviously. it's not too newsworthy to report that the likes of guam have called up a few bad players
although having said that, this guy looks about the standard for guam, yet he's just been picked for the german national team. he's hopeless, and his career stats are no better. it's akin to eriksson picking walcott, if walcott had only one leg
to add insult to injury, the news item for the squad notes that two players - dortmund's first choice goalie (aigner) and the germany under 21s captain (birk) - aren't good enough for the squad. no mention of the striker with stats that wouldn't be good enough for a conference player
can anyone top this? bearing in mind that this guy makes michael ricketts look like pele

I signed an eighteen year old defender for Palace (Championship) on the basis that he had four caps for Holland. I assumed he'd develop into at least a great player at that level.
I sent him to Hereford (BSP) on loan and he couldn't even get a game. A few years later and he plays at a pretty low level.

Carlton Palmer, Neil Lennon, Michael Ricketts, James Beattie.
I could go on but i'd be here all night.
As a Northern Ireland fan Lennon was a particular low, recieve ball turn in circle pass backwards, was his motto. In my first ever NI game he got the ball on the edge of the Belgian box with 6 NI players in the box and Gillespie free on the right, he passed it back to the half way line
